Ms Hema has been working with schools in various capacities for many years. Her last full-time tenure was as Principal of a K-12 school in India before she opted to nurture her passion as an education consultant in 2019. Since then, she has been working as an independent strategic consultant. Her proficiency lies in supporting leadership teams to action their vision with strategic plans which includes school and faculty development.

Ms Hema started her journey with International Baccalaureate in the year 2001 as a Primary Years Programme teacher. Her IBEN roles now include IB consultant, Programme leader as well as Evaluation leader and workshop leader. She has represented IB and led the authorization and evaluation of several schools in the Asia Pacific region like Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and India.

She has also collaborated with partner agencies like the Council of International schools (CIS), NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Hema has worked extensively with other programmes like the Cambridge curriculum and the CBSE at both primary and secondary levels.

Ms Hema believes in the concept ‘lifelong learner’ and in upskilling herself continuously by either studying or interacting and learning from incredible passionate educators all over the world.

Ms Hema is very popular among the parent community wherever she has worked and this is mainly because she strongly believes in the philosophy ‘no child left behind’ and to enable children to be future ready, to direct their own learning pathway, develop the right skills, confidence they need to thrive and make a lasting difference. and this happens only in genuine partnership with parents.

As a school leader she has created several programmes like the PAT, PSEN, leadership programmes by the students and for the students and many more and till date the parents remain her strongest supporters.

On the personal front, Hema is an avid traveller, loves reading, likes listening to all genres of music. After having lived in wonderful places like the Seychelles islands, US, and Canada for quite a few years, she now enjoys living in Hyderabad, India with her family.
